Accessibility Statement
Last updated:09/10/25
This statement applies to: Eldy’s website, web applications, and digital services
Our Commitment to Accessibility
At Eldy, we believe in elegant access for all. We strive to ensure our digital experiences are inclusive, equitable, and usable by everyone — including people with disabilities. We are committed to meeting or surpassing recognised accessibility standards and continually improving.
This commitment is grounded in UK law (notably the Equality Act 2010) and guided by the principle that no one should be excluded from using or benefiting from our services.

Standards and Scope
-
We aim to make our content conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards as a baseline benchmark. GOV.UK+2Make Things Accessible+2
-
Our accessibility efforts cover web pages, interactive components, forms, and multimedia content where possible.
-
Some elements (e.g. legacy documents, third-party embedded content, older PDFs, or live video streams) may not yet fully comply due to technical or resource constraints.

Known Accessibility Limitations
While our goal is full accessibility, there are known gaps. For transparency, here are a few of them (subject to change as we improve):
-
Some older PDF documents were published before accessibility was standard and may not be fully compatible with screen readers.
-
Certain third-party tools or embeds may not allow full control over their accessibility features.
-
Multimedia content (videos, animations) may lack full captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions in some cases.
-
Some interactive components or dynamic content may not work perfectly under all assistive technologies or when magnified heavily.
-
Some form controls or error messages may not always be properly labeled across all devices.
We assess whether fixes are feasible and whether they would present a disproportionate burden (i.e. excessive cost or effort relative to benefit) in line with legal expectations. GOV.UK+1

What We’re Doing to Improve
-
We perform regular audits (both automated and manual, including with assistive tools) to identify accessibility issues.
-
We prioritise remediation of defects that most affect usability (e.g. navigation, form input, contrast).
-
New content and updates are designed with accessibility in mind from the start (“shift-left” approach).
-
We train our content creators, designers, and developers on inclusive practices.
-
Over time, we aim to convert or replace non-accessible legacy documents and media formats into accessible alternatives.
